saveourpets.org, organized by Blooming Cookies' Founder Ann King, is really taking hold. In just a few weeks, the organization has thus far helped over 200 pets remain in their homes without fear of being forced to be given up or abandoned.  Plans are underway to share information on how to set up a similar pet food bank in other parts of America, due to recent interest.

The Atlanta Food Bank has donated 11 pallets of pet food and treats.

Help Save our Pets on WSB TV

Last night, WSB reported on the Help Save Our Pets Food Bank that our Blooming Cookies founder, Ann King, has organized.  An incredible amount of pet food has been donated already, and PALS, where pet owners may go to pick up food, has been buzzing with calls since the show aired.  Check out the newsreel on WSB!

It's so exciting to see this needed service take shape! Many, many  thanks to the many pet lovers, volunteers, and pet companies who are helping folks in Atlanta feed and keep their pets.

Here at Blooming Cookies, we love cookies, we love spreading goodness and inspiration, and we sure do love animals! Ann King, Blooming Cookies Founder, was inspired to reach out and help pet owners who are struggling to care for their pets, and recently organized the HELP SAVE OUR PETS Food Bank.

It is amazing and heartwarming to see so many folks in Atlanta immediately rallying to help needy pets. This photo is of Olivia Kleinman, an Atlanta teen, with her dog Duchess.  Olivia has adopted Help Save Our Pets Food Bank to be the recipient of her Bar Mitzvah. She plans to get her friends to help paint more bins and deliver them around Atlanta.

Help Save Our Pets Food Bank

Blooming Cookies has been a long time supporter of animal rescue.  A portion of proceeds from our fun PAWS Fifth Avenue line of Pet + People gifts goes to pet rescue groups. 

After hearing on the news that folks in Atlanta were abandoning pets because they could no longer afford pet food, Ann King, the owner of Blooming Cookies/Paws Fifth Avenue Pet Gifts was motivated to help, and rallied the Atlanta pet community, uniting shelters, rescues, and pet businesses to join in the cause to help needy pets and people.  Uniting with PALS, the Help Save Our Pets Food Bank has been organized to help collect and distribute pet food.
